THE EXPERIENCE OF EXCELLENT BAD ROADS – DAY 2 BY IKHIDE

THE EXPERIENCE OF EXCELLENT BAD ROADS – DAY 2 BY IKHIDE

Bad roads are part of the Riders adventure…Enjoy this one!

Bed was comfortable, but woke up at 7am feeling like I was beaten to a pulp.

Time ticking, plan was to head out at 10am.Rushed out to do bike maintenance pending when breakfast was served. The food last night was great, hoping this will be better…..and yes it was😁

Bad Roads/ Motorcycle adventure
We set out  11am casually increasing pace on the express. The roads were pleasant till we got to Yelwa then we had an horrific experience of excellent “bad” roads (111km) till we got to Koko Bagudu in Kebbi state. There after was 260km of bliss roads into Sokoto.

We decided to stay at Taraka Hotel because of the night life. Bad mistake, we should have just stayed at Dankani Hotel as planned. The hotel I will rate 2 on a scale of 10. The food was ok…but their service was crappy.

I was given someone’s room…..the customer had not checked out and I was checked in. He came knocking, I opened the door and there he stood, about 6ft 2inches with his loaded AK47 with extra magazine and a bayonet by his hip. He was in plain clothes! You don’t want to know what raced through my head.

Loads of  drama ensued, I was given another much crappier room.
Well, sleep was inevitable. I live to fight another day… with Day 3 on my mind, the long unending roads, the unexpected….Trudge on soldier, Trudge on!
